A 2,000-year-old Greek computer called Antikythera recreated in UK.We find it fascinating that the Greeks had this type of technology so many centuries ago that was so far ahead of it's time. The mechanism itself is right out of the computer age. And then it seems as if the human race lost touch with this technology for whatever reason.

Well, it's not that we so much "lost touch" it as we stopped paying as much attention to the heavens. This computer was likely more of an intuitive invention based on strict observation of the movement of the stars. There's not much on how accurate it is either, just what it was intended to do.
