USO : Unidentified Submerged Object

Everyone's heard of Area 51--Groom Lake, Nevada. However, 2,500 miles away there's an underwater facility that's also highly secretive. Perched on the cusp of The Bermuda Triangle, it's called AUTEC. The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center is a laboratory said to be used by the U.S. Navy for weapons testing and underwater research. UFO and USO activity in and around AUTEC fuels speculation that the U.S. government is secretly working with extraterrestrials; engineering and testing alien technology. The team heads here to speak with former base employees and to search the waters around one of America's most top-secret facilities.

  1. I watched that. What was most interesting to me were the cords that led over the tongue of the ocean and down who knows how many feet from AUTEC. What was up with those?

  2. that is what was most interesting to me also...i want to know about those cords. im looking all over to find out what those are. i think that is very weird. i mean why have a cord going into a deep trench?

  3. Those are not cords -- they are cables...and they are attached to hydrophones which are used in a multitude of testing. I worked at AUTEC for 15 years. As a quasi-believer, I have scanned the clear skies many nights, hoping to see something unusual. Alas...nada. And I have never heard anyone claim they have seen a USO or UFO around AUTEC -- even to this date (am still in touch with friends there). Sorry folks. Might as well move along...nothing there to see.

  4. is it too cliche' tho, in all-do respect, that an ex-employee (alegid albeit) would obviously state the polar opposite of what they might infact actually be??? don't get me wrong, i know there's no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but if they're so normal to have those for research, then why are they where they are? at the tip of the bermuda triangle? there's more to it than that and most people who have a clue won't dismiss it just because some anonymous person says to move along. almost makes you more suspicous? maybe i...millions of people are crazy. ;o)

  5. See, this is exactly what an AUTEC employee would love for you to believe. Same with Area 51. Nevermind the countless reported sightings accompanied by the signs at both of these sites that THEY WILL SHOOT YOU if you step foot on their base. Nothing to hide there, right?

  6. Hey!!! this was sooo cool.Fresh Creek! Thats where I grew up!!! Saw familiar places, maybe my mom would recognize some faces...!!!LOL!
Did definatly see some strange sh*@... but don't we all when were kids...! WOOT!

  7. great episode, I missed this one when it aired, thanks for posting it. As for anoymous dude who said he worked there, no doubt you prob. did but like weapons guy who worked there who they interview said "need to know basis" but your a** was on the "need to NOT know basis" you move along to your filing and be closed minded.

  8. This is so true! I spent a week there this last summer and you wouldn't believe the crazy things I saw! They had these airborne contraptions that could come to a complete stop in the air and land vertically without a runway. It almost looked like they had huge fans on the top and little ones on the side. The "people" that came out had white heads with one big shiny black eye in front. There is no way those weren't aliens. Also out in the water there were these big metal whale like things that were far too big to be made by a human being, I mean you could easily fit a couple hundred people in there. No way our Navy has that kind of technology! Believe, believe!! Acoms Razor has nothing on the History Channel

  9. I live in Fort Pierce Fl. and on the inter coastal there is a place called Harbor Branch Institute. In 2003 it closed for a matter of national security and was closed to the public for about a year, around dusk i saw a number of times US Navy ships and 2 or 3 times while it was closed a A.U.T.E.C vessel as well. After seeing this it makes me wonder exactly what made it close and had the Navy and AUTEC at it.

  10. This show is so full of crap. MOA as stated in the show is a Military Operations Area. It is NOT a restricted area. There are MOA's all over the US and anyone can fly through them while operating under VFR (visual flight rules). They are NOT "exclusively for military aircraft"!! It is NOT like Area 51 which is a RESTRICTED area on any aviation sectional chart you look at. It kills me when they screw up something as simple as this. It makes the entire show not believable!! Kevin is an idiot!! Bill isn't much better. "I want to walk right up to the gate and ask where are the aliens!" Wow, he really backed down on that one didn't he! I also love how they edit out parts of the comments of the "witnesses" to make it "exciting". The History Channel is going down hill!!

  11. Capt George Roux5/18/2011 06:58:00 AM

AUTEC must have a high employee turnover. I'm a yacht Captain and keep getting job alerts for jobs on Andros Island.
Here's the wierd thing...on job descriptions I get it says you will be exposed to "OTTO FUEL II"
do a Google search on that and you will get a thousnad page report...NO THANKS

    1. otto fuel 2 is a fuel used in torpedoes to run the motors underwater. it is dangerous because it has no odor and can kill you if you inhale it.

  12. I think it's all very interesting. Anything is possible :)
