New Years Eve 2010 UFO Sighting, Santa Cruz CA
I went on my porch to take pictures of the blue moon at midnight, and this caught my eye it flew from north to south and was bright glowing reddish/orange. never seen anything like it. faded out at the end and moved in a straight line, but made virtually no noise. this thing seemed alive, and it seems like it appeared to see what all the noise was about.

Me and a few other people saw a fuzzy red light moving in a straight line quite fast over Cardiff, not just in the town centre, but in various places around the city. Each time the fuzzy red light seemed to 'burn out' after a while. I can't be flares or fireworks because of the speed and straight line that they were travelling in - I wonder what that's all about?
Yes! I saw it there were these chinese lanterns. and we, went outside looked at them for, about 10 minutes or so...
Then my cousin, started shouting (he's 12 yrs old.). He, and I, all of us saw, this circular object floating above the clouds. I looked closer, but trying to justify it being aeroplane shaped.

It was moving slowly north, then got covered by a mass of clouds.
I can say that, we were nothing short of astounded. Absolutely farfetched.

1230 my wife and i saw a total of 5 lights orange orbs moving slow across the sky 3 came from 1 direction the other 2 from another.These were not plans , ballons , or missiles these were ufos in leicester
me and my wife saw them as well, i have them on video.. We r in prague and we saw about 15 of them, they all disapeared in the same location as if it was some portal to outer space, what was amazing is the last 2 they were very close and seemed on a hury because the moon got covered just after they left.. I think they left earth because they know something terrible is gonna happen very soon.. May god have mercy on us
At 12:15 or so, I was letting my 3 years old watch the fireworks outside the bedroom window and was shocked at what I saw! 3 red lights slowly "flying" in a v form towards us. I of course assumed they were plans but quickly realized.. thay were not. One dissapeared and the other 2 were to close togrther to be plans. They stopped moving and then dissapeared one by .. one
At about 12:30am I was outside my friends house, as we were having a new years eve party in a town called Abertillery in South Wales, when I noticed a orange/red circular ball shape in the sky, I watched as it crossed the sky when another 3 appeared to be following the first. I watched them cross the sky untill the disapeared over the mountain.

On New year at midnight we looked out of the window and i saw a orange ball flying rather fast through the sky over plymouth it was quite large and at first i thought it was something on fire, i thought maybe a terroist attack had happened and a a plane was on fire. But today i spoke to a relative who saw 12 of them at around the same time and then today whilst driving home i saw 6 more coming from the same direction as before but smaller so probably further away this time. they were all travelling very fast from north to south. After researching some more on the internet it seems people all over the world saw the same thing. But with every sighting there is another coverup for example the police in plymouth told my boyfriend it was chinese lanterns however it couldnt have been seeing as they wern't travelling with the wind direction and were much too bright and fast. other stories say that it was MOD training and some say a comet shower, i have seen comet showers and this it was not.
i'm in naples park. last night, my husband and I were sitting outside --neighbors lighting off fireworks, etc. We're under a lanai and it was about 12:15 or so. We look up and there are 3 red lights. Equally spaced apart in a straight line. All of a sudden it moved north then stopped in a triangular formation. It hovered there for about a minute or so then the light at the end dimmed and disappeared following by the light on the bottom right corner. We stood watching when the final red orb also disappeared. It was bizarr-o. Definatly has me doing a little more research today.

wen im 15 yrs old i went to my native place den i was in a small house suddenly a nuber of flying objects appeared in the sky then the power supply was stopped .....
the whole village became dark and every one was supprised to to see them i tought they are light insects but they are coming close the appeared like a space ships
suddenly after 2 or 3 min they vanished with a light speed and i said the whole thing to my friends and teachers but they toughti gone mad speaking something unralatively and they use to critisize me but later after couple of days in the morning a news was telecasted that is a ufo is being crashed and 2 aliens were caught one of dem was dead .....
but later there is no informaton about them.....
Im in Long Island, New York and my family and I witnessed the same thing. We saw one bright red object slowly glide across the sky until it stopped and hovered for about a minute. After this minute of hovering, the objects light started to get dimmer and dimmer until it vanished. It was not an airplane because there were no flashing lights and it was not a lantern either because it was extremely bright and a lantern would not hover in the sky. I have been researching info on what I saw and I think its amazing that people all the world saw the same thing that I did..it has to be an UFO!
I'm from Budapest, Hungary and my mother and I also saw one orange object on the 1st of January at 8.45 p.m. It was soundless and was moving southwest and up. After few minutes it disappeared in the high.
On the one hand it's soothing that you've already seen it, but on the other hand it's creepy.
I am from Caldicot Monmouthshire South Wales. My husband and I were in aor garden watching some fireworks going off in the distance on New Years Eve at midnight. We saw a very large bright orange ball appear between Midnight and 10 minutes past the hour.
At first we thought it was a large firework and waited for the spectacular sparkles to break free, but it continued on a dead straight course, quite fast and totally silent. As it started to disappear from view another one followed exactly the same and caught up with the first before dissappearing from view. This was definately NO AIRCRAFT or Chinese lantern. Can anyone explain EXACTLY WHAT WE SAW?
Me and my buddy saw 4 total..one was a blue,one was a redish orange,and two were white....one of the white ones looked exactly like a star...I could see them kinda chase eachother than they would dart away from eachother..they would slowly dim and dissapear then pop back in a split second..doing crazy turns like they did,then chasing and running from eachother,there is no way these were airplane,helicopter or those floating lanterns there saying now....I know what I saw and it changed my life and that's all that matters...love you all..
12:34 in Southwest Florida, I saw three red lights in the sky. I thought it was a plane but they were darting back and forth for about 15 seconds then they flew off. Exactly 27 minutes later they came back and did the exact same thing except there was another one. I was out there for another 3 hours and nothing. I was freaked out, but it was astonishing.
Myself and a friend saw this same thing in Fort Myers, FL twice between 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM New Years Eve and then once again shortly after midnight.
It glowed bright fiery orange, no sound, fast-moving and then rapidly disappearing upwards: following the same trajectory each of the three times we saw it. NOT a chinese lantern.
I'm AMAZED how many people witnessed this.
We are in ebbw vale and saw several of these bright orange balls, no way were they fireworks or lanterns!! this was new years eve
i saw the same thing in south wales on new years eve 12.08am til roughlly 12.35am have a video of 2 off them but missed the others as did not have phone on me but you can see them going from one direction to another and really fast no noise was awsome griff.extreme@hotmail.com
My partner and I were walking back home in Cardiff (South Wales) on New Year's Day at about 12.10am - we were walking through town towards Splott and we saw a reddish/orange round glow in the sky.
We thought at first it was the glow of a searchlight on a plane or helicoptor very high up. We could not however hear any engine, or see any running lights, and it was moving in a perfect straight line. Like one of the comments above states - it seemed to 'burn out' after a while....sort of turned white, got smaller and then vanished. On our way home we saw another 3 more of these objects - all moving in a straight line, at considerable speed, and vanishing. My girlfriend reckons that these objects 'cloaked' out of sight. My Father saw them in Ely, and my brother saw them in Thornhill.
The recent video's of these objects very closely resemble what we saw. I know that these could be chinese lanterns, but somehow - I really don't think that they were. I personally think they (whoever and whatever they were) were checking out the Human tradition of setting off fireworks!
Why isn't there a media outlet making a bigger thing of all these sightings? I think it's quite a newsworthy story.

Buffalo, Cheektowaga , NY . my friend was walking home around 12:00 to 12:30 , and he notice an orange circle floating, down the street not to high above the houses, so he kept walking down the street staring at the orange ball and it floated straight up in the sky till it was right over his head and it stopped moving at that point. my friend said he stood there for two minutes just looking directly up staring at it as it stood still above him and then it started to move again but away from him. my friend is now freaked out after learning about everyone elses stories. im posting this for him cause i too think everyone should know what happed that night. ps: read ur kjv bible.

My wife and I were sitting in the backyard around midnight on July 4, 2010 when we noticed a solid orange orb moving from west to east across the sky. We watched the orange light move at a steady speed for approximately 2 mintues before it literally vanished. It was too high to be a firework and too low to be an airplane. I do not know of any planes that use a solid orange light anyway. The sky was perfectly clear that night and our view was not obstructed. Granted it was on the 4th of July, but it spanned the distance of at least 5 miles and moved perfectly horizontal across the sky before disappearing and there were no other visibly fireworks in the sky at that time. I find it interesting that others have noticed similiar objects in the sky on holidays...
Yesterday evening (6th November 2010) I saw something very similar to the thing(s) described in many of the comments above. I was in Bridgend, South Wales (near Cardiff). Again - no coincidence, obviously - there were lots of fireworks going off that night due to many belated Guy Fawkes parties. At first I thought it was an ascending rocket firework. It appeared in the north, very bright and red in colour. I then realized that it wasn't just ascending, but 'flying' in a southerly direction at approximately the altitude of a helicopter. As it got closer, it was even more clearly not a firework or lantern. It seemed to have a search light at the front, but looked nothing like the many aircraft that typically fly over my house. It had a large red haze around it but I couldn't make out what was in the centre; just a bright light, though seemingly plane-sized. The most bizarre thing I found, after I'd run to my back garden for a clearer view, was that I could hear no sound coming from it. It was moving quite quickly to the southeast (towards Cardiff) and disappeared from my view. About 1-2 hours later, it reappeared to the south, now flying towards the north. It stopped just before it was directly above my house and appeared to hover for at least a minute. Then it started slowly moving towards the southeast again while gradually getting dimmer (or ascending quite rapidly; it was hard to tell) and then disappearing completely. After 24 hours of trying to make sense of it, I would love an explanation. I couldn't have been the only resident of Bridgend to see it either.
New Years Eve, in rural southern Colorado, just after midnight: we had friends over and were outside doing a few small fireworks. First we saw one small white light moving fast, from southeast to northeast. A minute or two later, we saw a GIANT light, with red, yellow and blue coming off it, moving from northeast to northwest. The night sky is very clear in our high altitude rural area, and we see many meteors, even when there aren't any "showers". It looked like a comet or meteor, the way the colors streamed from the back of it. I guess it could have been any object, set on fire after hitting the earths atmosphere. We decided it was a sign for a very special year in 2011. Glad to find many other saw something similiar on 1/1/11! Some say the sequence 11:11 opens the portal to other worlds! I searched & am amazed, Nothing on the news or internet besides this site!
1/1/11 Just after New Years, we were outside doing our small fireworks show, in rural southern Colorado USA. First, we see a small white object move quickly, southest to northeast. We live at 8500', and rural location makes our night sky very clear, and full of stars. We see meteors, even when there's no showers going on. This was the largest object I've ever seen, and we were all amazed and incredulous afterward. We decided it was an omen of a very special year for us! Some folks say 11:11 is the sequence that opens the portal to other dimensions/worlds! I hope so! Glad to know others saw similiar things in the sky that same night/morning! Couldn't believe when I searched, found NADA on TV or internet except this site!
@ 12am New Years 1-1-11, I looked up in the sky and saw @ 8-9 orange/red lights slowly following each other in the sky. My husbanc and son ran out to see them as well. They went in a straight line close together and flew lower than a plane. As they flew over my house they just disappeared into the clouds. I couldn't believe it. My camera would not turn on I swear.
