Around Midnight a huge burning fireball was seen by lot of people across over Hungary, Slovakia and even Czech Republic.
After few seconds a very loud explosion happened near to the hungarian-slovakian border. According to media reports the impact was near a slovakian village Beretke,and firemen are examining the territory.The Slovak Military also reacted very quickly too.
Prima facie explanations were it was a meteorite exploding in the stratosphere, but there are some facts which are contradicting this meteorite explanation:

- Air Flights from Bupapest (Wizz Air from Madrid to Budapest, Cathay Pacific etc.) stated that the object was flying lower then 30.000 feet, so it could not had been exploded in the stratosphere (70-80 km)
- The loud explosion heard of masses reinforces also that
- The light was white, while the meteors glow red light and the neighboring countries for disaster management experts were unable to report such information.
- The phenomenon was spotted at a too large territory (hundreds of km-s)

Was there ever any attempt at a scientific explanation for the fireball? I mean, did someone in the scientific world get a good look at and come out with a statement?
