This information is like "wtf". If you control the Internet but yet prior to distributing the "file sharing proggies" none of this was going on than what do you gain by "causing it to happen" to control an Internet that prior to that was where you end up because now nobody will be doing it again ... what then are you really controlling? .. I am confused at why this makes sense to some.. Please explain.

Hey. This is life in Germany right now. The GEMA Gestapo has the music scene so bottled up that even singing Christmas carols on the street can cost you a bundle. I am a professional musician, and believe me, music by composers who haven't been dead for over 70 years (or even more years, if someone else renews the copyright) just doesn't get played anywhere that doesn't have a lavish budget for the copyright costs. Almost all middle-sized concert venues now refuse to accept any programs with copyrighted music. Every non-private concert program, no matter how small or insignificant, must be sent in to GEMA three days prior to the evnt. And GEMA spys may just show up anonimoulsly and send you a fat bill months later for any mistakes you might make in your mandatory registration.
Dentists' offices, stores, Kindergartens, Glühwein stands -- everyone has to comply with this ridiculous scam!
I have also noticed that many informative videos posted on You Tube are not available for viewing here because of possible problems with GEMA. Very frustrating!
Who benefits from this? The dead composers? New composers? Many young composers I know can't even improvize in public without having to pay their own fees -- none of which ever come back to them!
Please fight this! I love coming home to the USA. New music is thriving there because it is being played and heard!!
I believe the video makes a strong case. He provides evidence, which you can authenticate yourself, that c-net distributed the software to share files even though c-net is owned by CBS. CBS, being a supporter of the SOPA bill, would themselves be in violation of said bill. Don't call it "crazy" unless you have the evidence to dispute the claim made. Next time, review your post so your grammar and sentence structure sounds a little less incompetent at providing a rational opinion.

The pirate nerds are hiding behind DMCA. Reject the DMCA by passing SOPA, which will hold the server owners responsible for what is being served up to everyone from their servers.
I don't like the fact that filesonic dot com (resolving to hong kong) is serving up my music catalog for free including the new stuff, with the torrents being linked at hotfilesearch dot com (resolving to florida), covered with pay per click ads and easily found on google. They are stealing my livelyhood.
STOP THE PIRATES NOW or give me access to their servers so I can police it myself and delete my music from their damn server.

I thought Piratacy was when someone downloaded copy writed matterial and then sold it for personal gain. Everyone has Downloaded copy writed matterial at one time or another, many of this people download it for personal use, not for resale, nor do they resale it for personal gain.
Besides why would someone want to pirate (download and sell for personal gain) when every one can jump online and do the same thing.
