Strange sounds of UNKNOWN origin penetrating through the earth. The phenomena has been on going for months now in various parts of the world and has been given no real explanation to how or why. One possible theory to the phenomena is the sounds are being caused drilling to make way for large underground bomb shelters as some Governments are taking the threat of 2012 seriously. These noises are being reported on a much larger scale compared to what this video shows.

On August 24,2011 in St. Pete, Fl.,my husband tried to capture the sound of the strange rumbling that we had been hearing in the sky for 3 days in a row. This is the same sound that people all over the world are reporting hearing. Note: The rumble was heard 1 more time on Thursday, August 25th 2011 and an hour after that, I heard what can only be described as a loud,vibrating hum which lasted for around 2 minutes.***UPDATE: We began hearing the sound again on October 22. Exactly 2 months to the day of the first time. As of this update:11/1/11, we have been hearing almost nightly since then.

It seems that something is "happening". Most people hear the noise but don't give any attention to it,cause on the streets and most places it is too loud or it is interpreted as something different.

Maybe it's a source of communication in tones like in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. We just need to check out the frequencies and patterns of the sounds for mathematical codes?

Has to be, it would take antennas of massive capacity to output this frequency in all the places its been heard and there are h.a.a.r.p. arrays in most countries.
By the sound of it their trying to find a specific resonance or frequency... for what? that's anyone's guess.
i've heard a strange rumbling noise in scotland back in july/aug and could not place where it was coming from,there is a large oil refinery near by but nobody has ever heard these sounds before,it did'nt appear to be coming from anywhere but could be heard all over my town

Southern Hemisphere? 12;30 am going into the first 30 minutes of Jan 2nd, an amazing noise like Thunder on Steroids, woke the dogs and rocked us out of bed. No noises after, no explanation.
This is Sydney, where the sidewalk does not stay open after ten pm. We have curfews on our airport and all flying, and yet I see helicopters running up and down the harbour in the middle of the night. Now this incredible noise, even woke the dogs, sparked them into action running around the flat barking.

Co-worker of mine heard similar sounds most of last summer. He could only hear the sound when he went to his basement. Going outside you hear nothing.

I swear I heard it in Michigan. On Wed or Thursday Jan 11, or 12 in the am. I remember mentioning it to my husband on the phone that somewhere in a nearby area they must be using some heavy machinery with a thumping and groaning sound, the wierd thing is it also sounded non directional like an big wind and there was none at that time. I told him that I wish I knew what it was because it was kind of frightening.
I didn't say anything or mention it to anyone else for fear of sounding like a nut. Kinda wish I had now after seeing news reports.
i heard it last night, at 1:30am, i am on a farm in saskatchewan, canada, and there are no planes or machinery or ANYTHING i could attribute the sound to.
i felt a vibration, all the hairs on my arms and legs and neck stood on end, and then the dog started to whine and growl, and i could hear a ...a thrumming? it was -45 last night, i didn't dare go outside, i was scared, and alone and it was soo cold!

Heard the same noise last night (Jan 21/12 @ 2am) in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada, same sound was heard in Moncton NB Canada (approx. 2hrs from Fredericton on Jan.10th. Last night it was so loud it hurt my ears.
I just posted a comment about some of these being a hoax, but I forgot to mention that there is a strange sound that is being heard in my small town, and just recently after the sound there was an earthquake here that was felt in surrounding areas. Which makes me lean towards the possibility of drilling?
