ReplyDeleteWe can't fight against an alien technology thousands of years ahead of us but our military might ,free lectron lasers,railguns,.. can act as a deterrent in the same way a dog can keep a rober from entering in my house.

The idear of mankind trying to fight back against extraterrestrials is ridiculous. it conjures up a mental image of a strutting bantam rooster going head to head with a challenger tank. The end result will always be the same kentucky fried chicken. michio kaku is one of earths greatest minds you don't have to like him (personally i do) you just have to understand he's a lot smarter then us and he knows what he's talking about. I just pry that legitimised first contact if friendly and we don't nuke ourselves. mankind as a hole is a very stupid and violent animal
ReplyDelete^Could not agree more. Shoot first ask questions later will cause a ripple effect of unnessesary violence. If only the bigger person could be us we could prove to ourselves that we too have the power to formulate peace. Letting shame guilt and fear go, we can allow ourselves to see our pre-existing potential, in turn seeing it outside ourselves. Pace and love is the answer.

I'm sure if a hostile intelligence comes to earth they would just wipe us out from orbit without even entering the atmosphere so we wouldn't even know what was happening till it hit us. If we are being visited, which i think we have been for a long time then it seems safe to say they would not involve themselves with a savage race or races here.

ReplyDeleteIf aliens were to invade in a hostile manner i do disagree with your statement that we have nothing. obviously were (humans) not important but think of earth it self, what a planet we live on, there alien planet made be dieing from its natural resources so they might need things like, Gold, water, oxygen, an atmosphere, etc all those resources for them to survive so why not take over our planet and kill us all and take over earth??
ReplyDeleteI 100% don't believe that will happen, first invasion i think will be friendly but i think an alien invasion would be the best thing for earth. It will change the way we look at life, ourselves, religion, how we see and look at the universe in general, bring us humans closer as a species and will begin our next chapter. i hope in my life time i will see this happen :) and that we have answered the question that we are not alone in the vast universe :)

they may want us to sort out our ‘local’ differences and issues before they allow us to know of their existence publicly. We are supposed to grow as a race before we are privileged to know the way of the stars… then they will communicate with us and have first contact. ReplyDeleteI disagree wholeheartedly! There is no species any amount of years ahead of anything. There are species with higher reason than others. We may not be as "advanced" as alien life forms but we're not stupid either. (At least, in many regards!)
There are resources we have and know how to utilize. Other species may be unfamiliar with them. For instance, we can drink water, we can swim. But we cannot breathe in water. Duh, right?! It's a simple argument. It brings up the basic principles of life and biology. We know our nature. (these are the tactics used in guerrilla warfare.) Don't underestimate your own species.
To call someone smart is biased. If someone dedicates themselves to studying a general topic, they will have the upper hand against someone who, oh, i dont know, stumbled upon this link. As expanded as a mind may become, there is still an Infiniti of questions to ask, an Infiniti of answers, and the ultimate infinite, the unknowing.
One who does philosophize, will be closer to understanding this! There is a meaning to everything, we just will never know it all. In my opinion, it will all make sense the eternity between life and death.
Open your mind! There is a depth there! Fill it by taking in the world around you. We are all, from existence, an alien life form. We have just adapted to our world. We are all so strange and different from each other. It is these differences that make us alike.
Who knows, maybe alien life is just our own. Maybe we're transcending from a Dream back to what is the present. Or it's us in the future. Or it's simply a race that is so curious about us. We are further advanced than we are given credit for. We may be human, but we have animal instincts. We don't differ from them, thus we must not differ from curious alien species.
Can we please try focus on expanding our consciousness through compassion and understanding. Michio is intelligent, whether you agree with his theories or not. Don't disregard someone's intellectual capabilities solely because it doesn't sit entirely right through your perspective. Michio has a wealth of information and thank this planets future he has a childlike approach in communication. Shame fear and guilt are reflections of misunderstandings and do not serve as excuses to hault from furtherig our consciousness. Compassionate understanding will pick up where our primitive consequences left us. The more this is practiced the more it is seen, so we all can keep growing and add something useful to the table.
