New Year Eve UFO 2013 : UFO Sighted At 6:11 PM Over Plant City Florida, USA On December 31, 2012

It is new years eve, I was standing on my front porch awaiting family coming over for a BBQ and I was looking up at the sky and noticed what looked like 2 stars directly above my porch. About 2 minutes went by and looked back up and the second "star" was moving slowly across the sky. I ran for my Android phone and recorded it as it moved from the west towards the east.

The attached video is sideways and not the best of quality because it is on my phone, but if you turn it to the right, you may be able to view it better. You will see the actual star just sitting still and the "Unidentified flying object" moving slowly away. There are no flashing lights or sound. The sounds in the background are children in my neighborhood playing with fireworks as it is New years eve. It just slowly continued until no longer seen towards the South East past the tree line where I live. I live near an airport and this was no plane.

New Year Eve UFO 2013 : UFO Sighted At 8:30 PM Over Orlando, Florida, USA On December 31, 2012

Walking my dog, noticed a bright orange flickering object moving from the south towards my direction. Object was low and moving slowly in a straight line. Then noticed a second identical object moving behind the first. This object was also moving at the same slow speed, in the same path as the first. Both objects were bright orange, with a flickering, "fireball" shape. Both objects moved at the same speed and altitude, then turned towards the north west. Objects made no sound.

At first I thought it was the spotlight of a helicopter, since I first observed it from a distance, through the treetops. As it moved closer and into open sky, I realized it was an orange orb type object. I could not figure out what I was observing. I've never seen anything that looks or moves like this in the sky. Then a second identical object appeared in the distance and followed the same path. The objects moved slowly and in a straight line that eventually turned toward the north west. I watched the first one start to fade and I wanted to get my cell phone to film it, but couldn't take my eyes off it. Then I started to feel nervous and headed in the house. I didn't watch the second one fade or disappear.

New Year Eve UFO 2013 : UFO Sighted At 10:19 PM Over Naples Florida, USA On December 31, 2012

On New Years Eve 2012, my boyfriend, myself, and three close friends were sitting outside in Naples, Florida, enjoying the fireworks and the crisp evening. The skies were totally clear and the stars were shining brightly. We were chatting but not concentrating on the sky or anything in particular, when suddenly my boyfriend looked up and said, "Hey, whats that?" The rest of us looked up to find what he was seeing. He pointed almost directly overhead and said, "Look! That orange thing- its moving! It just zig-zagged, but now its going straight." I saw it next, closely followed by our three friends. It traveled slowly, changing from a zig-zag path to a straight line, not changing color or wavering the bright light it cast off in the least. It appeared to be very high in the atmosphere and maintaining a steady rate of speed at first.

I struggled to get my phone out to record it as the five of us tried to rule out various possibilities. There is an airport very near to our house, but for the most part planes taking off and landing there are small and low flying. The object we witness made no noise that we could discern, and did not display any of the colors or flashing lights that one would expect from a small private craft or a larger commercial airplane flying high overhead.

We watched as the orange circular shape slowed further in the sky, then stopped. It began to move again, then stopped again. After it had stopped and began moving three times in total, it started slowly, getting smaller and smaller before suddenly making a rapid ascent and disappearing. I would estimate that it traveled several miles during the time that we were able to see it, as it was clearly very high in the atmosphere. I would also say that it was going much more slowly than an airplane traversing a large distance would go.

The five of us, as a whole, felt a sense of excitement, wonder, and awe. Although we would likely generalize ourselves as open-minded, its one thing to entertain the idea of beings or crafts from another place, and another thing entirely to witness it with your own eyes. None of us were under the influence of psychotropic drugs, and all of us were able to agree on the details of what we saw, even if we didn't understand it. Everyone was eager to watch the object and find out any information we could gather, and almost all of us immediately let someone outside of our circle know what we had witnessed.

I myself had two other friends who live more than 400 miles away in Daytona Beach, FL report to me after I shared what Id seen that they, also, had seen an object matching both physical description and behavioral patterns at nearly the same time, and they are not by any stretch of the imagination people who are prone to flights of fancy.

In short, I'm not sure what it was that we saw, but I know it wasn't something that one would normally see in the sky, and I feel privileged to have witnessed it.

Wavering Fireball Sighted At 10:30 PM Over Pasco County Florida, USA On December 31, 2012

My friend and I were outside observing the rising moon. There were fireworks going off at various times as well. However, this bright orange fireball was no firework. It lasted far too long, it came up from the horizon under the moon and went up over the moon. We were facing due east, it traveled south east for a bit, it was in the sky for about 5 min or so, it was flickering like a bright orange flame, it was orb shaped.

My friend suggested it was a plane with an engine on fire however he thought it was strange that we could not see any smoke. The moon light was bright so we should have been able to see smoke. It did not appear to be dropping any material either.

It was very bright, brighter than any star or planet. We watched it go up and then fade down like it was falling or gliding downward. It faded out and we couldn't see where it went after that. It was descending when it vanished.

We did not see or hear any explosion in the distance as if it were a plane crashing but we did observe a faint glow over the horizon for a short time.

We kept checking news reports for a plane crash but have not found any. It was in the direction of north pasco/south hernando county toward Orlando area.

We were not able to record the event.

  1. I was glad to find these accounts as last night on New Years Eve Dec 31 2012 in Micanopy FL we were celebrating outside and also saw unexplainable lights. These were moving slowly through the trees horizontally three or four moving and then several more would be moving. There must have been a couple dozen be sighted by us over maybe 5 minutes or more. The brightness was apparent, the slow steady movement horizontally, and then moving down to the horizon line. Most were bright as stars only bigger closer and one was pinkish in color. We all concluded they were not fireworks or if so of unknown type and characteristic.

  5. I am also a witness to this mystery. I was standing outside during my New Years eve party and saw two strange images which seemed like shooting lights. I found this weird but did not think much of it. Today, i was riding my moped, and again saw the same images. As I was speaking to my neighbors they also commented about seeing these strange illusions. Two days in a row, and so many people seeing the same images is just too weird. I am freaking out a bit. Now I am very curious to know exactly what this was.

  6. The ball just dropped, it is New Years Day, 2013. It was just after midnight, the neighborhood fireworks was in full force. I was sitting on my couch, and decided to look out the window at the free fireworks show. I looked up, and there they were, two red balls, orbes if you will. I stared in disbelief, then grabbed my camera, and ran outside. By the time I got out my front door, turned my camera on, and then located the orbes, one just dissappeared, but I did catch the second one on video. As I was trying to zoom in, and focus on it, it also dissappeared, but not after i captured it on video, approximately 3 minuets. I couldn't keep it centered on my view finder as I would've liked, but, what I saw and what I have on video, freaked me out. I've been looking in the skies all my life to experiance something, and I finally saw what I've always known was out there. I do believe what I saw was a UFO, and really don't care who don't believe me. All I know is there was something in the sky flying north to south, and it was definatly no fireworks. Fireworks go up & down, not left to right. I can guarenty I'll be outside tonight looking in the sky for round two, and hopefully, I'll beable to focus, zoom in and get one hell of a video. Happy New Years, I know what I saw last night in the skies, this is gonna be a great year.

  7. Osceola County Florida. It was around 12:03am new year 2013 while fireworks where going off, I was enjoying and looking at the sky. I notice something very strange a orange light that looked like a star. I knew it was not an airplane because i live close to an airport and i know what a small plane looks like. It was coming east from cape Canaveral because usually i can see the shuttle launch from a distance. I knew it was a flying object because when it was coming from east it sharply turned north and went a distance and came back but not to close and all the sudden went straight north and disappeared. Very strange because this for sure was what i saw and i believe those stories above. I took photos, i ran inside to get iphone in which is not best photos because by the time i went inside and came back out that is when i notice the north-south-north flight and it disappeared.

  9. What can I say? What people are describing here is what myself and 7 other people saw shortly after midnight on New Years 2013. The lights appeared above the horizone to the south, traveling north, and ascended in an ark and faded out slowly. We saw a total of four, we never saw more than two at a time, and individually. Wow, and this happened in Northern California. Peace in the New Year all :D

  13. hi all i live in manchester uk me and my family see them on n/y eve .we see them all the time we sort of used to it know .but im still looking for an answer.to what they are i DONT BELIVE THAT THEY ARE LANTERNS i have bought load of lanterns and done load of test and they dont compare
let think when we see these orbs we cant judge the high they are in the night sky .so new years eve was perfect i measured the height to the fire works and by god they are way higher fireworks go off at certon height the height of the orbs dont match to those of lanterns due to air presser when lantern get to a high altitude the fire go out due to low oxygen
so there is it folks: WE CAN ALL HAVE A GOOD ;(( THAT WE R NOT ALONE

  14. McMinnville, OR, January 1st, 2013 approx: 12:05am. Me, my fiance, and four other friends witnessed what appeared to be 3 white lights in a large (very large) triangle formation, moving very slowly toward the horizon (in a north/west bound direction). I saw it first, and in disbelief, said, "Hey guys, do you see that?" We all watched in dismay. One of the friends there is going into the air force and immediately wrote it off as three planes flying in formation. It's possible, since it was the new year, and exactly at the hour of celebration. However, I didn't have my camera on me and the bottom light disappeared into the trees before long. It was only maybe a minute of watching it disappear into the horizon. It was still very interesting. I'll be mad if it was just planes. It was silent, no flashing lights. Could be test flights, could be drones. I have no idea. But all I know is we all saw it. I SO wish I could have captured it! I am making a note to never forget my camera with me anywhere. I am a natural skeptic, so I want to know what it was.

  15. On New Year's Day at approx. 1:30am I was standing in the driveway of my home in southwest Orlando observing the sky when I noticed a flickering orange light coming from the south. As first I thought it was smoldering embers from fireworks beacuse of the orange color but as it was moving in a steady course in a northerly direction I realized it was some type of craft. As I watched it go overhead it flickered out and disappeared.

  17. Hey guys, I live in South Carolina (Lexington) on New Year's Eve at approximately 7:36 pm we saw a low flying bright orange (fiery) looking object go slowly through the sky. It also had a little yellow ball either connected to it or flying under it moving around.. It eventually took off really fast, we tried to get a video but the phone camera quality sucks. We had a good five minutes to observe the object. I'm fifteen and was skeptical about foreign life. I'm 100% convinced it was some sort of alien spacecraft. Thought I was crazy? Oh, it made no sounds either?

  18. wittness the same thing in the sky in georgia, it was a round shaped object fiery red orange , it stood in the same spot for few seconds, makeing no sound, i ran in house grab my camera phone too try get a pic of it and it fastly orbited back in too space, i was amazed!!!!

  19. I never expected multiple sightings could happen on that day. I should have paid more attention to the sky. I thought I'd see just same old fire works. I bet they used the fireworks as a cover.

  20. I saw the same in st cloud, fla. At first my son thought a plane was on fire. Then we saw a total of about 8 of the same flying out of the east to west then make a NW turn.
I would just like to know what it was we saw. So glad that it was witness by others

  21. For what it's worth, I was visiting Sarasota, FL, and we have also seen three bright glowing orange lights at around 1 AM moving pretty fast from the south east towards north, probably far away. No sound, no vertical or side movements, just a straight and steady horizontal flight. After noticing the first one, a second and then a third one followed the same path about 15 to 30 seconds apart. Looked like a flare, only a flare does go down and these were moving on a perfectly horizontal line. Couldn't tell where they came from or were they headed to as trees blocked the view.

    Very unusual.

  22. I witnessed three orange orbs in a triangular formation at about 12:15am here in Southern California. I stopped my car to turn around and tell the group I was with, but in a minutes time they were gone.

  23. On NYE, just after the midnight countdown 1/1/2013 I was looking up towards the sky at the fireworks and saw 6 orb lights that match these descriptions! We were having a party, had just finished our own fireworks and I started shouting for everyone to look up. At least 20-25 people around me saw the same lights! They were all moving towards us in a singled line; zig zagging occasionally. The first 3 ascended and shot into the sky at increcible speeds. The 4th kept flying into the distance until it disapppeared. The last 2 behaved differently. The very last of the 6 started catching up with the 5tjh until they began flying in parallel while ascending. After a minute or so of this, they joined and became 1 light; hovering in the sky for a couple of minutes before suddenly disappearing! We all figured at 1 point that these could have all been floating candles released into the air by other people but this wouldn't explain the different behaviors that we all witnessed. I too took video on my iphone 5 that came out surprisingly clear! Will try to upload to this blog later on today so that you may all see. I took video of the last 2 lights. btw, we were in East Orlando near UCF.

  25. 4 friends and I witnessed the same, in the Hollywood hills of Los Angeles. right around 12 after leaving a party, we came across 6 orange orbs floating in the sky, making geometric shapes and dissipating one by one into the sky. we pulled over and got out of our car to take photos and watch with our jaws dropped. it was one of the most amazing things any of us had ever seen...and to make it even more amazing- we're all completely sober! life changing

  28. I have too in fact seen such phenomena. About a year and a half ago i seen a bright green orb descending quickly from the sky at about a 45 degree angle and all of a sudden changed paths to a POINT. No turn, curve, or anything. and disappeared. About a week ago me and my girlfriend were gazing at the constellations when we noticed a "star-like" object pulsating. goes dim and gets bright again, probably happened about 5 or 6 times before it went dark and appeared about 2 inches to the right in the sky!(from our perspective, its obvious it moved more than 2 inches from its past location due to the vast distance from us it was) but it did this a total of 4 times going in and out of visibility and almost going in a zig zag motion before disappearing. i know this wasnt a plane because like i said it was STILL for i dont even know how long. but it looked like a star. which makes me wonder if there is actually people keeping an eye on us in plain sight, but disguised as stars! farfetched? maybe. but what ive seen tells me otherwise. there ARE things visiting us. we dont need to worry, what or who they are, but how can we contact them. cause i dont know about anyone else but thats my lifelong dream is to travel with whoever these beings are. much love to the open-minded! dont be blind to the truth!

  34. My wife and I also saw these orange orbs in the sky walking home after seeing the fireworks on Main St. in Daytona Beach, FL. It is now January 14, 2014 and I seen another orange orb in the sky while at the Lennox Park with my children. I also want to note that I'm very pessimistic when it comes to unusual objects in the being ufo's. However, now that I've seen that I'm not the only one that's witnessed this I'm beginning to think they are ufo's.

  35. In 1975 in Daytona Beach Florida a round craft at least 30 yards in diameter hovered over the ocean. At least 300 people were either standing on the beach or were on their hotel balconies watching. There were 5 police cars and a local television news van on the beach as well. The policeman and news crew were watching and taking video of the craft. It hovered over the ocean about a half mile out and slowly came towards us on the beach and hovered approximately 3,000 yards over our heads and then back out over the ocean. It did this same maneuver about 3 or 4 times for 30 minutes or so. Red lights blinked off and on underneath the craft. Again it was silent and no engine noise. The lights started blinking more quickly and turned a bright orange color. In about 2 seconds it just straight down the beach in straight horizontal flight patg and was gone. I would say it covered 5 miles in 2 seconds and was out of sight. There is nothing produced on this planet by man that could have produced that craft. It was sjmply phenemenol. This incident was not in the local newspapers or on the television news stations. I remember speaking to the manager of the hotel as to why it wasn't on the news. He matter of factly just shrugged his shoulders and said "probably don't want to scare of the tourists."
